More than medicines a well planned diet acts wonder for the skin. If you eat well since an early age you can avert the possibilities of many diseases.

Your mental balance is directly related to what you eat. For example a lot of sugar in the diet can result in mood swings. The sugar moves very quickly through the system, creating erratic energy movements. One moment it can make you happy and the other moment you may end up feeling low and grumpy. This does not imply that you remove the sugar intake from your diet. The key is to remember that an excess of everything is bad and an absence of anything is even worse. A balanced diet should compromise of all the nutrients in an optimum proportion. Substantial portions of fruits, vegetables, fibers and proteins will fulfill your dietary needs. A balance of essential nutrients is important to maintain a healthy state of body and mind. Drink sufficient amount of water. Water plays a very vital role as far as your good health is concerned. You need to consume lots of water every day, eight full glasses according to the estimated standards. Always be mindful that soda and aerated drinks are not substitutes for water. Try to eat regularly and ideally and not leave your stomach empty for more than four to five hour. Avoid skipping meals and most importantly never skip breakfast. A light and healthy breakfast is important to kick start the day.

The last thing to do before closing in is to think about what you had during the day, and then think- You really are what you eat! Acknowledging this fact, and being aware of what you had today, you may be more aware about what you put in your mouth hereafter!
